Mentoring Specialist

XLP’s nationally recognised Mentoring Programme has been transforming lives across nine London boroughs. The programme focusses on supporting young people aged 11 - 18 who are at risk of school exclusion, involvement in crime, or social isolation. Through consistent, positive relationships, we help them build confidence, make positive choices and see a hopeful future.

We’re now looking for a Mentoring Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising volunteer mentors from the local community. These mentors commit to meeting their mentees face-to-face for 1 - 2 hours each week over a minimum of 12 months.

This role will have a focus on our work in Greenwich and Lewisham.

Salary: £31,000 - £32,000

People and Culture Manager

We are looking for a People and Culture Manager who will be a generalist with prior experience of working in a HR capacity. You will be responsible for the providing effective of HR services for XLP and building strong relationships across the team, keeping a good understanding of people’s challenges and opportunities.

You will partner with Line Managers on a range of HR duties to cover the full employee life cycle, including implementing an HR software platform and reporting with the Director of Operations, managing employee relations, safer recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, staff training and development, and more.

You will help make sure we recruit and retain excellent staff so we can give our best for young people. You will be happy to manage all aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle, happy to work independently, and ready to get stuck in.

This is a full-time hybrid role, with Monday to Wednesdays in the XLP Office.

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
