Come to learn, be inspired, and to serve...
XLP is teaming up with local churches in the London Boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets this summer to offer you a fantastic week of bible study, youth work and social actions projects. If you have a passion for youth work, want to put your faith into practice and fancy being in London in the height of the Olympics excitement - XLP’s Urban Mission Week is a great way of experiencing an amazing week of Christian mission and most importantly, making a real positive difference to the communities of Newham and Tower Hamlets.
What will the week look like?
The week will take place from the afternoon of Sunday 29th July until Friday 3rd August. You will be placed in church accommodation in Newham or Tower Hamlets and you’ll be engaged in a variety of projects each day:
Each morning will be spent as a large group and there will be time for worship, prayer and bible teaching. Each afternoon and evening you will be put into smaller groups and engaged in girls’ projects, sports activities and social action/community work throughout the two boroughs, followed by a Fun Day on Friday as a celebration of the week’s activities.
