Meet The Lewisham team

Lewisham – The land of a thousand chicken shops, home of a giant cat and birthplace of acting legend Jude Law! Walking through Deptford the other day reminded me why I love Lewisham borough so much: Quirky market stalls, amazing Caribbeanfood, super cheap noodle houses, vibrant people and a crazy amount of pimped up BMW’s! I’ve never lived anywhere else where so many things happen in such a small space – gospel weeks, peoples days, concerts, art exhibitions, markets, dance and drama performances… and on top of that it’s got a TK Maxx!!!

With that as a backdrop, the XLP Lewisham team runs lunchclubs, lessons, reading support, assemblies and after schools clubs all over the place – jamming with some fantastic young people from my favourite ever place.
