How much does it cost to do the eXperience training?

First Year

If you are joining us for the first year the fee is: £3000. From this sum, £110 per month will be returned to you for 10 months as an allowance for food and other items. The remaining £1800 covers the costs of running the course. Students are provided with accomodation by their placement churches who make all the arrangements; students will not be required to pay rent for their accomodation.

If you are intending to stay living with your parents whilst on the course because you live locally then the course fees for first year students are reduced to £1850 and no allowance is payable.

Second Year

Having successfully completed a first year on the eXperience course, you may be offered the option of attending for a second year. This involves working closely with the borough leaders, being part of a mentoring programme led by Patrick Regan, and having the opportunity to pursue some aspects of your first year course in considerably more depth than the initial year permits.

The fee for the second year course is £2500 is you are living away from home (with the same £110 per month allowance as in the first year) or £1500 if you intend to remain living with parents (no allowance is payable).

Many students find their course fees from a number of different sources including their local church, parents, relatives and friends, sponsors, fund-raising events and good old payed work.
